The EcoStudios Office Building, an approximately 12,000 square foot commercial building with a covered parking structure, located in Park city, Utah was designed by Jack Johnson Company. Once completed, it will be EcoSteel’s corporate U.S. Headquarters. The region mandates superior thermal efficiencies to handle temperature changes that can vary from -20 F in the winter to over 100 F in the summer. Due to the location of the building, it was engineered for a snow load of 120 Lbs per square foot and wind loads in excess of 100 mph. These requirements are easily achieved with the EcoSteel system. Solar modeling with winter and summer solstice patterns were utilized in the design to achieve maximum efficiencies in heating and cooling. Water harvesting systems are also used to irrigate the landscaped areas.
